Charlton Athletic maintained their undefeated run away from home with a 1-1 draw with Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park after falling behind to a Brunt goal in the 33rd minute. Morrison levelled for the Addicks in the 60th minute. Tranmere Rovers 17th, Charlton Atheltic 1st.

Sheffield United had to come from behind to salvage a win against Preston North End at Bramhall Lane after Cummins gace PNE the lead in the 38th minute. An Evans brace in the 42nd and 83rd minutes kept the Blades in with a great shout for automatic promotion over their local rivals. Sheffield United 2nd, Preston North End 13th.

Sheffield Wednesday had a bad day at the office as they came unstuck to Chesterfield at the b2Net stadium. Morgan scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute to keep the Spirites hopes of staying up alive. Chesterfield 22nd, Sheffield Wednesday 3rd.

Franchise FC ran riot over Oldham Athletic at Stadium:Franchise as they romped to a 5-0 win as goals from Bowditch (9th min), Powell (47th and 66th min), Doumbe (69th min) and Gleeson (78th min) simply blew the Latics away. Franchise FC 5th, Oldham Athletic 16th.

The woes for AFC Bournemouth continued as they slipped to a 91st minute Jones penalty to keep Rochdale's hopes alive at Spotland. Their cause wasn't helped when Purches was stretched off with a double leg break. Rochdale 23rd, AFC Bournemouth 8th.

Hartlepool United managed to claim a 3-0 win over Notts County at the Victoria Ground. A brace from Sweeney (37th and 53rd mins) and another from Monkhouse (78th min) made the win comfortable. Hartlepool United 9th, Notts County 11th.

Yeovil Town claimed a 3-2 win over Colchester United at Huish Park. Gillespie gave the Essex side the lead in the 19th minute which drew a response from Parrett (55th min), D'Ath (70th min) and Williams (72nd min) leaving Rowlands to score a consolation in the 93rd minute. Yeovil Town 18th, Colchester United 12th.

Exeter City managed to edge a little clearer of the drop-zone following a 3-2 win over Bury at St James's Park. The Grecians raced in to a 2-goal lead through Archibald-Henville (5th min) and Nardiello (9th min), with Amoo pulling pne back for Bury in the 29th minute. Logan restored the 2-goal advantage, with Eastham scoring a 92nd minute consolation. Exeter City 19th, Bury 14th.

Scunthorpe United kept their head above water with a 3-1 away win over Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road despite falling behind through a Tehoue goal in the 34th minute. Second half goals from Walker (61st min), Barcham (85th min) and Parkin (89th min) ensured that Scunny went home smiling. Leyton Orient 15th, Scunthorpe United 20th.

Walsall came out on top in the relegation 6-pointer at Bescot with a 2-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers as Hurst (62nd min) and Bowerman (85th min) keeping the Saddlers in touch with safety. Walsall 21st, Wycombe Wanderers 24th.

Not in action today ....... Brentford (10th) play Carlisle United (7th) on Monday evening. Stevenage Borough (6th) weren't in action as they are still involved with the FA Cup, play Premiership Spurs on Sunday, leaving Huddersfield Town (4th) without a match.
