With a 14-point advantage at the top of the table, surely Swansea City have a foot hold in the Champtionship for next season? A single goal was all that was required on Friday evening to secure the win over Luton Town at the Liberty Stadium, and extend the lead at the top of the table. The only goal of the game came in the 79th minute through Butler. Swansea City 1st, Luton Town 22nd.

Tranmere Rovers had to be content with a draw against Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Ground. Kay gave the visitors a 74th minute lead, but then saw Disley level in the 81st minute. Bristol Rovers 15th, Tranmere Rovers 6th.

Southend United powered their way to a convincing 3-0 away win at Huish Park against Yeovil Town, who are in danger of being sucked in to a relegation scrap if they are not careful. Leeds United seem to be slipping further away, especially after they failed to claim a win over struggling Crewe Alexandra at Elland Road. Maynard gave the visitors a 37th minute lead, but saw Kandol level in the 86th minute. Leeds United 9th, Crewe Alexandra 21st.

Northampton Town must be fancying their chances of making the end of season play offs with the run they are on at the moment. Coke scored the only goal of the game in the 82nd minute at the Victoria Ground to leave Hartlepool United looking over their shoulders. Hartlepool United 17th, Northampton Town 10th.

Brighton & Hove Albion claimed a single goal win over Oldham Athletic at Withdean when Murray scored the only goal in the 61st minute. Brighton & Hove Albion 11th, Oldham Athletic 12th.

AFC Bournemouth must be facing a stint in League Two after they failed to beat Cheltenham Town at Dean Court. A Gradel penalty in the 17th minute, followed by a Bartley goal in the 39th minute was looking good for the Cherries. Bird pulled one back just before the break, with Brooker levelling with just 2 minutes left. AFC Bournemouth 23rd, Cheltenham Town 19th.
