Swansea City are now 10-points clear at the top of League One as they eased their way past Oldham Athletic at the Liberty Stadium. A McDonald own goal got the home side off the mark, but then saw Davies save his blushes with a 76th minute penalty. Brandy secured the points for the home side with an 85th minute winner. Swansea City 1st, Oldham Athletic 14th.

Doncaster Rovers cemented their place in the automatic promotion places with a comfortable 3-0 away (their 6th of the season) over Millwall at The New Den. Price gave the visitors a 43rd minute lead, which was added to after the break with strikes from Coppinger (77 mins) and green (90 mins). Millwall 20th, Doncaster Rovers 2nd.

Carlisle United edged past Walsall in a play-off battle at Brunton Park. Holmes had given the West Midlands side the lead in the 23rd minute, but then saw Bridge-Wilkinson level in the 33rd minute from the penalty spot. Graham secured the points for the Cumbrian side in the 75th minute. Carlisle United 3rd, Walsall 5th.

Nottingham Forest slipped to their 5th defeat on the road as AFC Bournemouth claimed a vital 3-points in their quest for suvival. A brace from Vokes in the 20th and 29th minutes was more than enough as the Cherries claimed just their 4th home win of the season. AFC Bournemouth 22nd, Nottingham Forest 4th.

Tranmere Rovers have lifted themselvse in to the play-off places as Leeds United continue their recent poor form. Goals from Myrie-Williams (61 mins) and Moore (69 mins) was enough for Rovers to claim the points at Elland Road. Leeds United 8th, Tranmere Rovers 6th.

Despite taking the lead (twice) against Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road, Southend United had to settle for a share of the points. Barnard had given the Essex side a 27th minute lead, with Boyd levelling from the penalty spot in the 51st minute. Clarke restored the lead in the 56th minute, but then saw Ibehre level in the final few seconds. Leyton Orient 7th, Southend United 9th.

Swindon Town also had to settle for a share of the points as Northampton Town came from behind at the County Ground. Sturrock gave the home side a 56th minute lead, but saw Akinfenwa level with just 3 minutes to go. Swindon Town 10th, Northampton Town 11th.

Brighton & Hove Albion turned on the style at Withdean, blowing Crewe Alexandra away with a 3-goal first half performance. A brace from Murray (23 and just before half time), either side of a Butters goal in the 43rd min, was enough to keep the points in Sussex. Brighton & Hove Albion 12th, Crewe Alexandra 21st.

Yeovil Town slipped up at home for the 6th time this season as Huddersfield Town claimed their 5th away success of the season with a 2-0 win at Huish Park. A Beckett penalty in the 25th minute and a Collins strike in the 51st minute was enough to claim the points. Yeovil Town 13th, Huddersfield Town 15th.

Hartlepool United eased any relegation fears they might have had, but compounded those of Luton Town with a 4-0 win at the Victoria Ground. A Barker penalty in the 30th minute gave the monkey hangers a half time lead. Thompson added to the score in the 61st minute, which was quickly followed with a goal from Porter in the 64th minute. Barker scored his second of the afternoon in the 73rd minute. Hartlepool United 16th, Luton Town 23rd.

Bristol Rovers left it late to claim just their 3rd home win of the season at the Memorial Ground against Port Vale. Harsley gave the visitors a 12th minute lead from the penalty spot, but saw Coles level a minute later. Lowe restored the lead for Vale in the 64th minute, but then saw Lines in the 81st and Lambert in the 84th (from the penalty spot) ensure that the points remained in the West Country. Bristol Rovers 17th, Port Vale 24th.

The only other game played saw Gillingham (18th) and Cheltenham Town (19th) draw 0-0 at Priestfield.
