They might be in a spot of bother, but Swindon Town are grinding out results, following a 1-0 win against Colchester United at their Community Stadium. The only goal of the game when Collins netted in the 53rd minute. Colchester United 19th, Swindon Town 3rd.

After an inconsistent run, Stevenage Borough managed to put one over on managerless Notts County at Broadhall Way. Goals from Haber (1st min) and Haber (89th min) sealed the win to bring Borough up to 43 points with four other clubs. Stevenage Borough 12th, Notts County 10th.

Scunthorpe United managed to draw clear of the bottom-4, while leaving Portsmouth deep in it at Glanford Park. A brace from Sodje (40th and 85th mins) on his debut drew a response from Walker in the stroke of half time for Pompey as the Hampshire side slipped to their 8th straight defeat. Scunthorpe United 20th, Portsmouth 23rd.

The games involving Sheffield United (6th) and Crawley Town (15th), and Oldham Athletic (21st) and Yeovil Town (7th) were both called off due to the weather.
