Charlton Athletic were left to lick their wounds, this time being humbled by Notts County at The Valley as the Addicks were seen off as the visitors walked off with a 4-2 win. County raced in to 4-goal half time lead with goals from Judge (16th min) and a Forte hat-trick (18th, 35th & 40th mins). The second half saw the home side try and come back with goals from Wright-Phillips (50th min) and Wagstaff (55th min), but it wasn't enough. Chalrton Athletic 1st, Notts County 6th.

Sheffield United managed to take advantage of Charlton's defeat with a 2-0 victory in SW London against Brentford as an Evans brace (6th and 51st minutes) sealed the points. Brentford 10th, Sheffield United 2nd.

AFC Bournemouth slipped to their 5th stright defeat against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough as Batth (4th min), an Addision own goal (9th min) and Antonio (10th min) put the game beyond doubt before it had really started. Sheffield Wednesday 3rd, AFC Bournemouth 12th.

Rochdale left it late to claim a valuable point against Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm, but it wasn't enough to close the gap on safety. Ward opened the scoring in the first half stoppage time for the Terriers with Tutte levelling seconds later. Rhodes put the Terriers back in front again just after the re-start with Grimes levelling for a share of the spoils in the 82nd minute. Huddersfield Town 4th, Rochdale 24th.

Franchise FC sealed a comfortable win against Exeter City at Stadium:Franchise as Doumbe (17th min), MacDonald (27th min) and Ibehre (78th min) swept the Grecians aside. Franchise FC 5th, Exeter City 21st.

Carlisle United after in hot pursuit of a play-off place following a 4-1 win over Bury at Brunton Park, even though Bury took the lead through Coke in the 23rd minute. The Cumbrians hit back through Noble (25th min), Cook (78th min), Miller (88th min penalty), Miller (93rd min). Carlisle United 7th, Bury 16th.

Stevenage Borough had to come from behind to claim a point against Chesterfield. Trotman (12th min) and Bowery (22th min) gave the Spirites a 2-goal lead. Hopes of a valuable away win evaporated when Laird (76th min) and Reid (77th min) salvaged a point. Stevenage Borough 8th, Chesterfield 23rd.

Yeovil Town have elevated themselves to an 8-point cushion above the drop-zone following a 2-1 over Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park. G Williams put the Glovers ahead in the 10th minute, with Diamond levelling 10 minutes after the re-start. The winner came from A Willams 10 minutes later again. Oldham Athletic 13th, Yeovil Town 15th.

Tranmere Rovers gave themselves much needed breathing space with a 2-0 win over Leyton Orient at Prenton Park as Robinson (35th min) and Showumni (45th min) to secure the win. Tranmere Rovers 19th, Leyton Orient 17th.

The games between Wycombe Wanderers (22th) and Colchester United (9th), Walsall (20th) and Hartlepool United (11th), and Preston North End (14th) and Scunthorpe United (18th) all finished 0-0.
