Sheffield United failed to take full advantage of their game in hand over Charlton Athletic as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Colchester United at their Community Stadium. A goal from Hoskins in the 32nd minute for the Blades was cancelled out by Gillespie for ColU in the 56th minute. Colchester United 9th, Sheffield United 2nd.

Stevenage Borough managed to make up some ground on the play-off places they've recently lost given their recent FA Cup involvement as they managed to edge Oldham Athletic out in a 1-0 win at Broadhall Lane. Franks looked to have given the home side the win with a 68th minute strike only to see Parkin complete a brace in the 94th minute. Yeovil Town 13th, Scunthorpe United 18th.

Tranmere Rovers managed to come from behind to clinch a vital win over Preston North End at Prenton Park despite going behind in the 12th minute to a Cummins goal.
