Brighton & Hove Albion made full use of one of their games in hand as they collected all 3-points against Yeovil Town at Huish Park. Bennett scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute to erase memories of the weekend defeat. Yeovil Town 19th, Brighton & Hove Albion 1st.

Huddersfield Town maintained the pressure at the top with a 1-0 win over Hartlepool United at the Victoria Ground. Pilkington scored the only goal of the game to secure the points in the 12th minute. Hartlepool United 13th, Huddersfield Town 3rd.

Walsall lifted themselves 3-points clear of the League One drop zone with a win over South Coast Club at Bescot. Macken scored the only goal of the game in the 69th minute to claim 3-vital points for the Saddlers. Walsall 20th, South Coast Club 5th.

Charlton Athletic are doing their level best NOT to make the play-offs this season, despite being one of the supposed hot favourites to go up come May. Wright-Phillips gave the home side the lead in the 10th minute, only to see Carlisle United hit back at The Valley through Marshall (27th min), Curran (62nd min) and Loy (80th min) ensure that the points were on their way back to Cumbria. Charlton Athletic 8th, Carlisle United 10th.

Colchester United are edging back towards the play-off places following a recent run of form, helped with a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers at The Memorial Ground. Odejayi scored the only goal of the game in the 22nd minute to compund Rovers misery at the wrong end of the table. Bristol Rovers 22nd, Colchester United 7th.

Brentford had to come from behind to snatch a point against 9-man Notts County at Griffin Park. Westcarr gave County the lead in the 44th minute, that after Harley had already seen a 2nd yellow in the 25th minute. Osborne levelled for the Bees in the 74th minute. County were reduced to 9 when Edwards saw a 2nd yellow card the 91st minute. Brentford 14th, Notts County 17th.

Exeter City and Tranmere Rovers played out a 1-1 draw at St James' Park. Bakayogo gave Rover the lead in the 16th minute, with the Grecians levelling through Sercombe in the 65th minute. Exeter City 15th, Tranmere Rovers 18th.
