League One Review - March 22nd

With Brentford having a two matches in hand over AFC Bournemouth at the start of play it was important for the 'right' result to be produced as The Bees travelled to Blackpool. The final result was 2-1 to the Seasiders. Southern netted twice in the first 15 minutes (on 7 and 15) to fire the home side in to a 2-0 half time lead. Brentford gained a consolation in the 84th minute through Pratley, but then saw Deon Burton sent off in the 87th minute. The result hoists Blackpool up to 14th (up 2 places on 29 points), and keeps Brentford in 7th, a point behind AFC Bournemouth. But the Bees have another game in hand and an inferior goal difference.
