Brighton & Hove Albion managed to finish the season with a draw against Notts County - a result which saw County salvage League One survival. Barnes gave the Seagulls the lead in the 12th minute, with a Greer own goal in the 36th minute booking the home side's place in the 3rd tier for next season. South Coast Club rubber stamped their automatic promotion to the 2nd tier of English football with a 3-1 win over Walsall at St Mary's. Guly and Connolly gave the Saints the lead with goals in the 26th and 29th minutes. Gray gave the Saddlers hope with strike on the stroke of half time, but any thoughts of a comeback were snuffed out when Oxlade-Chamberlain netted Saints' 3rd in the 68th minute. Results elsewhere meant that Walsall beat the drop to League Two. South Coast Club 2nd, Walsall 20th.
Huddersfield Town signed off the regular season with a 4-4 draw against Brentford at the Galpharm Stadium. A quick Ward brace in the 14th and 15th minutes got Town off to a good start before Schlupp pulled one back on the stroke of half time and then levelled 5 minutes after the re-start. Novak retored the Terrier's advantage in the 52nd minute, Grabban levelled for the SW London side 6 minutes later with Afobe restoring the advantage again in the 63rd minute. Last laugh to the Bees who levelled in the 68th minute through Grabban. Huddersfield Town 3rd, Brentford 11th.
Peterborough United signed off in style with a 5-0 win. A result which condemned Dagenham & Redbridge back to League Two. Mendez-Laing got Posh off the mark in the 11th minute, with McCann (65th min), Boyd (82nd min), Mackail-Smith (84th min) and Ball (91st min) sealing the Daggers fate. Peterborough United 4th, Dagenham & Redbridge 21st.
Franchise FC prepared for their play-off against Posh with a 2-1 win over Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park. Balanta gave the Franchise holders the lead in the 28th minute, with Winchester levelling 6 minutes later. The winner came 5 minutes after the restart when March-Brown scored for the visitors. Oldham Athletic 17th, Franchise FC 5th.
AFC Bournemouth couldn't finish the season with a flourish, going down 2-1 against Rochdale at Dean Court. Pearce gave the Cherries the lead in the 27th minute, only to see Done (35th min) and Gray (80th min) see the points head back north. AFC Bournemouth 6th, Rochdale 9th.
Leyton Orient rubbed salt in to the wounds of Plymouth Argyle at Home Park as the Londoners ran-off with a resounding 4-1 away win. McGleish (13th min pen) and Cox (15th min) got the O's off to a great start, with Revell extending the lead further in the 77th minute. Bolasie pulled one back for the relegated Devon side, only to see Revell net his second in the 89th minute. Plymouth Argyle 23rd, Leyton Orient 7th.
Exeter City finished the season on a high with a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough, that after Johnson gave the Owls a 13th minute lead. Nardiello (76th min) and Archibald-Henville (89th min) ensured that the points were leading back to the south west. Sheffield Wednesday 15th, Exeter City 8th.
Colchester United rubber stamped Bristol Rovers relegation with a 2-1 win at their Community Stadium. A Henderson brace in the 28th and 30th minutes all but sealed the Pirates fate. Richards netted a consolation in the 72nd minute. Colchester United 10th, Bristol Rovers 22nd.
Yeovil Town will be hoping for better things next season as they finished on a high note - a 2-0 away win over Carlisle United at Brunton Park. Obkia (26th min) and Bowditch (69th min) gave the Glovers all 3-points. Carlisle United 12th, Yeovil Town 14th.
Swindon Town finished the season on a positive note with a 2-0 win over Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park. Lescinel (10th min) and Timlin (38th min) scored the goals to help the already relegated side record their 4th away win in a sorry season. Tranmere Rovers 18th, Swindon Town 24th.
The only other game in League One saw Charlton Athletic (13th) draw 0-0 with Hartlepool United (16th) at The Valley.
