The potential game of the weekend was called off due to international call-ups as Carlisle United and Nottingham Forest had their match called off. Carlisle United 1st, Nottingham Forest 3rd.

Leyton Orient could not take full advantage of the situation to go back to the top of League One as they were held at Brisbane Road by Brighton & Hove Albion. Gray had given the home side a 27th minute lead, but saw Forster level in the 68th minute. The advantage was restored a couple of minutes later when Demetriou, but both sides had to settle for a point after Cox levelled for the Seagulls in the 75th minute. Leyton Orient 2nd, Brighton & Hove Albion 7th.

Remarkably Leeds United, even with their 15-point deduction, as a whisker away from the top of League One following their 2-1 victory over Swindon Town at Elland Road. A Beckford brace (32 and 56 mins) either side of a Peacock leveller in the 47th minute was enough to push the Yorkshire side to within 2 points of top spot. Swindon Town did win the yellow card count by a staggering 7 cards to 1! Leeds United 4th, Swindon Town 15th.

Southend United were made to work for their point against Cheltenham Town at Roots Hall. Gillespie (14 mins) and Sinclair (25 mins) gave the League One strugglers a 2-0 half time lead. Gower (50 mins) and Hammell (56 mins) ensured that both sides had to make do with a share of the points. Southend United 5th, Cheltenham Town 24th.

Swansea City suffered their 2nd home defeat of the campaign as Huddersfield Town claimed all 3-points with a single Kamara (54 mins) goal at The Liberty Stadium. Swansea City 6th, Huddersfield Town 11th.

Crewe Alexandra have been steadily improving in recent weeks. Having been looking at a potential scrap against the drop, they now find themselves on the edge of the play-off places. Their latest success, their 5th at Gresty Road, came at the expense of Northampton Town when Lowe scored the only goal of the game in the 59th minute. Crewe Alexandra 10th, Northampton Town 16th.

In front of the TV cameras Yeovil Town got back to winning ways at Huish against Gillingham. Owusu gave the home side a 66th minute lead, which was cancelled out by Dickson in the 76th minute. Walker claimed the winner for the home side in the 88th minute. Yeovil Town 12th, Gillingham 20th.

Also in front of the TV cameras, Hartlepool United were held by struggling AFC Bournemouth at Victoria Park. Henry gave the Cherries a 16th minute lead with a superb strike. Moore levelled for the Monkey Hangers in the 40th minute. Hartlepool United 13th, AFC Bournemouth 21st.

Bristol Rovers have finally claimed their first home League win of the campaign as they managed to overcome Millwall at The Memorial Ground. Fuseini had given the Londoners an 8th minute lead. Lambert leveled from the penalty spot in the 78th minute with Haldane claiming the win in the 90th minute of the game. Bristol Rovers 18th, Millwall 22nd.

Oldham Athletic hover just above the drop zone following a 1-1 draw with Port Vale at Boundary Park. Davies gave the home side a 23rd minute lead with Willock levelling in the 32nd minute. Oldham Athletic 19th, Port Vale 23rd.

The other two games played in League One this weekend finished in 0-0 stalemates with Doncaster Rovers (9th) playing Tranmere Rovers (8th) and Walsall (14th) playing Luton Town (17th).
