Leyton Orient moved back to the top of the pile as they helped themselves to a single goal victory over Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm Stadium. Boyd scored the only goal of the game in the 4th minute to seal the win. Huddersfield Town 13th, Leyton Orient 1st.

Nottingham Forest claimed a 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandra at the City Ground as Davies and Clingan (45 and 52 mins respectively) secured the win. Nottingham Forest 2nd, Crewe Alexandra 12th.

Carlisle United took the lead against Brighton & Hove Albion at Withdean through Hackney in the 34th minute. Forster levelled just after the re-start. Garner restored the Cumbrian's lead in the 53rd minute, with Forster scoring the second for the Seagulls in the 84th minute. Brighton & Hove Albion 7th, Carlisle United 3rd.

Swansea City managed to secure their 6th away win of the season with a single goal win over Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park. The only goal of the game came in the 81st minute when Jennings put past his own keeper. Tranmere Rovers 9th, Swansea City 4th.

Doncaster Rovers managed to reach the play-off places with a 3-1 win over Port Vale at Vale Park. Pilkington had put the home side ahead in the 10th minute. Goals from Guy (59 mins), Hayter (68 mins) and Wellens (81 mins) turned the game around to secure Donny's 3rd away win of the campaign. Port Vale 24th, Doncaster Rovers 6th.

Luton Town started the day off rooted to the bottom of League One after their 10-point deduction, but managed to claim 3 points against Southend United at Kenilworth Road when Andrew scored the only goal of the game in the 74th minute. Luton Town 23rd, Southend United 8th.

Walsall made the short trip down the M6/M1 to Northampton Town and claimed their 4th away success of the season with a 2-0 win. Goals from Bradley (45 mins) and Demontagnac (86 mins) was enough to secure the win. Northampton Town 17th, Walsall 10th.

Swindon Town won the local west country bragging rights over Bristol Rovers at The County Ground. A Roberts in the 67th minute secured the win. Swindon Town 11th, Bristol Rovers 18th.

Millwall climbed out of the bottom 4 of League One with a 2-1 win over Yeovil Town at The New Den, inspite the visitors taking a 49th minute lead through Walker. O'Hara (71 mins) and Fuseini (82 mins) secured the win for the home side. Millwall 20th, Yeovil Town 14th.

Hartlepool United slipped to their 5th away defeat of the season against Gillingham at Priestfield. Brown had given the visitors a 25th minute lead, only to see a brace from Oli (45 and 59 mins) secure the win for the Kent side. Gillingham 19th, Hartlepool United 15th.

The only game played in League One on Saturday saw AFC Bournemouth going in to December still without a home league win. Their latest defeat came against Oldham Athletic as the Cherries slipped to their 7th home defeat of the season. A Taylor goal in the 70th minute, either side of a brace from Hughes in the 56th and 87th minutes (the latter coming from the penalty spot) secured an important win for the Latics. AFC Bournemouth 22st, Oldham Athletic 16th.

Cheltenham Town managed to secure a vital win in their first ever meeting with Leeds United at Whaddon Road as Gillespie scored the only goal of the game by lobbing the ball over the Leeds keeper in the 87th minute. Cheltenham Town 21st, Leeds United 5th.
