Swansea City left it late to salvage a point against Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park. Francis put the home side ahead in the 17th minute with Tudor-Jones levelling a minute before the break. Facey then put the hosts back in front on the stroke of half time. Robinson then left it until the 87th minute to salvage a point for the Welsh men. Tranmere Rovers 18th, Swansea City 1st.

Huddersfield Town closed the gap to draw level with points with Swansea City at the top of the table as they beat Nottingham Forest at the Galpharm Stadium. Schofield and Booth put Town ahead in the 20th and 25th minutes. Lester reduced the deficit a minute after the break - but that's as good as it got for Forest. Hudderfield Town 2nd, Nottingham Forest 10th.

Southend United are loosing touch with the leading two. Constantine put Port Vale ahead in the 17th minute, with Husbands doubling the lead in the 54th minute. United pulled one back, but far too late, in the 89th minute. Port Vale 8th, Southend United 3rd.

The League One bubble has well and truely burst for Scunthorpe United after a bright start to the season. Brentford were the latest to visit Glanford Park, and waltzed away with a fine 3-1 win. Goodwin put the hosts ahead in the 7th minute, but that's as good as it got as Pratley levelled, and then put the Bees ahead with goals in the 10th and 23rd minutes. The win was completed in the 51st minute when Brooker scored brentford's third of the afternoon. Scunthorpe United 15th, Brentford 4th.

Chesterfield were held at home by Blackpool in a 1-1 draw. Clingan put the home side ahead in the 8th minute, with Harkins levelling for a share of the points in the 57th minute. Chesterfield 5th, Blackpool 20th.

Barnsley made light work of Swindon Town, winning 3-0 at the County Ground. Devaney put the Yorkshire side ahead in the 7th minute. Then came a brace from Shuker in the 50th and 68th minutes to put the game well beyond the Wiltshire side. Swindon did win the booking count by 6 yellow cards to 2! Swindon Town 24th, Barnsley 6th.

Colchester United demolished Gillingham at Layer Road with a thumping 5-0 win! Halford gave Colchester United ahead in the 31st minute, then he extended the lead in the 51st minute. Cureton then netted his brace in the 53rd and 65th minutes. The rout was completed in the 69th minute when Brown scored Colchester's 5th of the afternoon. Colchester United 7th, Gillingham 21st.

Doncaster Rovers helped Bristol City to an 8th straight defeat at Belle Vue with Heffernan scoring in the 4th minute and Coppinger securing the win in the 67th minute. Doncaster Rovers 9th, Bristol City 23rd.

AFC Bournemouth secured a fine 2-0 win over Franchise FC at Dean Court. Foley netted his first goal for the Cherries in the 36th minute, with Cooke hetting his first for Bournemouth in the 82nd minute. AFC Bournemouth 11th, Franchise FC 19th.

Walsall added more misery to Rotherham United at Bescot as Fryatt (41 & 45) gave the Saddlers the lead before half time. Leitao made it 3 in the 68th minute, before Hoskins scored a consolation in the 77th minute. Walsall 12th, Rotherham United 22nd.

Hartlepool United secured their 5th win away from home with a single goal victory over Bradford City at Valley Parade. Tinkler scored the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute. Bradford City 14th, Hartlepool United 13th.

Yeovil Town slipped at home for the third time this season as Oldham Athletic went home with a 2-0 win. Warne scored both goals in the 38th and 81st minutes. Yeovil Town 17th, Oldham Athletic 16th.
