Warne fired the visitors ahead in the 23rd minute, McDonald extended that lead 4 minutes before the break. Odejayi scored a consolation for the home side in the final few seconds of the match. Carlisle United were made to work for their point against Rotherham United at Brunton Park. Facey put the visitors ahead in the 21st minute, but then saw Gray score the equaliser in the 64th minute. Carlisle United 8th, Rotherham United 19th.
How late did Gillingham leave it to claim their win over Chesterfield at Priestfield? The answer is VERY LATE! In the Staffordshire derby between Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale at Greaty Road it was the home side who pipped their neighbours to all three points. Maynard had given the Alex the lead in the 32nd minute, with Abbey levelling 4 minutes later. It remained level until a stupid challenge in injury time gifted the home side a penalty, which was converted by Rodgers. Vale did win the card count though by 4 yellows to 3! In form Blackpool came down to Northampton Town's Sixfields Stadium, going away with a point following a 1-1 draw. Morrell had fired the visitors ahead in the 20th minute, but his strike was cancelled out when jess fired home in the 62nd minute. Northampton Town 16th, Blackpool 14th.
