Scunthorpe United claimed the final play off place with a 2-0 win over Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park. The defeat has since seen the Tranmere Board publically support manager Brian Little! Blackpool 19th, Colchester United 13th.

AFC Bournemouth left it late against Doncaster Rovers on Friday evening at Dean Court. Heffernan had put Rovers ahead as early as the 6th minute and must have thought that a win was likely. Chesterfield (7th), Barnsley (9th), Rotherham United (16th), Hartlepool United (18th), Bristol City (22nd) and Gillingham (23rd) all didn't play as their matches were called off due to international call ups.
