Huddersfield Town now lead the way in League One as they swept past Walsall in a 3-1 win at the Galpharm Stadium. Booth got the home side off the mark in the 14th minute with Smith equalising on the half hour mark. Goal scoring machine Abbott restored the home side's advantage in the 33rd minute, before he then scored his second of the afternoon in the 78th minute. Huddersfield Town 1st, Walsall 16th.

The amazing winning run for Southend United came to a half at Belle Vue as Doncaster Rovers got back to winning ways again. Their 2-0 home win came courtesy of goals from Ravenhill in the 76th minute and Forte in the 87th, making things safe for the home side. Doncaster Rovers 13th, Southend United 2nd.

Swansea City dropped two points at home to Oldham Athletic in a 0-0 draw. There were chances for both, but not taken. The same for Brentford as they were held at home by Swindon Town, who stopped a dreadful run of defeats at Griffin Park in another 0-0 draw! Swansea City 3rd, Brentford 4th, Oldham Athletic 14th, Swindon Town 24th.

Scunthorpe United rescued a point at home against Rotherham United. An own goal through Butler put the visitors ahead as early as the 2nd minute. Parity was restored when Sharp netted the first of his two goals in the 19th minute. But Rotherham were having none of it when they restored their single goal advantage in the 28th minute! Then in a decisive moment in the second half, McLaren was sent off for Rotherham, and straight from the free kick came the opportunity for Sharp to level for the second time in the 59th minute. Scunthorpe United 5th, Rotherham United 17th.

Port Vale slipped to a Claridge goal in the 63rd minute at home against Bradford City to give the visitors 3 points. Port Vale 6th, Bradford City 7th.

Nottingham Forest seem to have found their feet at this level after a dodgy start to the season. Their latest victims at the City Ground were struggling Hartlepool United. Taylor got Forest off the mark with a 33rd minute strike, before a last minute penalty from Bopp secured the win. Nottingham Foest 7th, Hartlepool United 21st.

AFC Bournemouth claimed only their 2nd away win of the campaign against Colchester United at Layer Road. Having seen the ref reverse a penalty decision, the Cherries had to wait until injury time at the end of the game to see Keene net his first professional goal to seal the victory! Colchester United 15th, AFC Bournemouth 9th.

There were chances for both the Franchise Holders and Chesterfield at the National Hockey Stadium, but neither side found the back of the net. One of the few moments of note came when the Franchisee's saw their manager sent to the stands by the referee! Franchise FC 20th, Chesterfield 10th.

Another 0-0 was fought out between Gillingham and Yeovil Town at Priestfield. How it remained 0-0 is a mystery as both sides did their best to conceed, but were not quite good, or bad, enough to do so! Gillingham 22nd, Yeovil Town 11th.

Barnsley staged an unlikely comeback against Blackpool at Oakwell. The visitors must have thought that they must have done enough as they went in to a 2-0 lead through Wiles (28) and Wright (67). But they had not reckoned on a stirling comeback which saw Richards reduce the arrears in the 80th. Then practically from the restart Barnsley won the ball back and scored straight away through Howard in the 83rd minute! Barnsley 12th, Blackpool 19th.

Bristol City piled more misery on Tranmere Rovers as a Wilkshire goal in the 64th minute confirmed that the points were staying in the south west and not heading back up the M5 towards Merseyside! Bristol City 18th, Tranmere Rovers 23rd.
