Brighton & Hove Albion extended their lead at the top of the table to 8-points with an emphatic win over Peterborough United at London Road. A brace from Barnes (16th min a 62nd min pen), was added to by Calderon in the 33rd minute to claim all 3-points for the Sussex side. Peterborough United 5th, Brighton & Hove Albion 1st.

Huddersfield Town took advantage of slips elsewhere to move in to the automatic promotion places with a 1-0 win over Walsall at the Galpharm Stadium. Pilkington scored the only goal of the game in the 35th minute. Huddersfield Town 2nd, Walsall 24th.

Colchester United maintained their unbeaten start to the season away from home by claiming the unbeaten home record of AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court. Williams (16th min) and Hnderson (80th min) only drew a response from Fletcher in the 87th minute to sneak off the points. AFC Bournemouth 4th, Colchester United 3rd.

After a recent dodgy spell, Charlton Athletic find themselves back in the top-6 again following a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at The Valley. Wagstaff scored the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute. Charlton Athletic 6th, Sheffield Wednesday 7th.

Oldham Athletic left it very late to claim the points against Plymouth Argyle at Boundary Park. Stephens got the Latics off to the perfect start with a 5th minute penalty (after Ngala was sent off in the 4th minute) only to see Noone level 2 minutes later. In first half stoppage time, Plymouth's task was made that bit more difficult when Arnason was sent off, but that didn't stop 9-man Argyle taking the lead through Wright-Phillips in the 48th minute. Tounkare levelled for the home side in the 64th minute. Numerical advantage eventually told as Mvoto (94rd min) and Kelly (94th min) made it 4-2 to the home side. Oldham Athletic 8th, Plymouth Argyle 21st.

After their slow start to the season South Coast Club find themselves a point off the play-off places following a 3-1 win over Notts County at Meadow Lane. Edwards gave County the lead in the 9th minute, only to see Saints bounce back through Lambert (68th min pen), Barnard (73rd min) and Lallana (94th min). Notts County 19th, South Coast Club 9th.

Carlisle United left it late to claim a point at The Memorial Ground against Bristol Rovers after Lines gave the Pirates the lead in the 48th minute. Grella levelled for a share of the points in the 87th minute. Bristol Rovers 12th, Carlisle United 10th.

It was a bad day at the office for Franchise FC as Tranmere Rovers won just their 2nd home match of the season at Prenton Park. Leven netted for Franchise in between a brace for Jennings (3rd and 25th minutes), while Moore had a brace of his own (22nd min pen, 76th min) leaving Baldock to score for the visitors in the 85th minute. Both sides finished with 10-men as MacKenzie was sent off for the Franchise in the 60th minute and Bakayogo was sent off for Rovers 10 minutes later. Tranmere Rovers 20th, Franchise FC 11th.

Leyton Orient claimed their 4th home win of the season as they saw off Rochdale at Brisbane Road even though O'Grady gave Dale the lead in the 45th minute. Chorley levelled from the penalty spot 3-minutes after the re-start, with Cox scoring the winner in the 66th minute. Leyton Orient 18th, Rochdale 13th.

Rapidly improving Brentford claimed 3-points against Exeter City at St James's Park as the Londoners ran off with a 4-2 win. Legge gave the Bees ta 4th minute lead, with Cureton levelling in the 28th minute. Two quick strikes from Alexander (62nd min) and Wood (64th min) was added to by MacDonald (72nd min) with Cureton the task of scoring his second in the 78th minute. Exeter City 14th, Brentford 15th.

Swindon Town had to come from behind to claim a point at near neighbours Yeovil Town at Huish Park even though Austin had given the Wiltshire side the lead in the 23rd minute. Williams levelled on the stroke of half time with Bowditch firing the home side in to a 3-1 lead with goals in the 50th and 61st minutes. A point was rescued when Morrison (87th min) and McGovern (88th min) netted two late goals. Yeovil Town 22nd, Swindon Town 16th.

Two own goals settled matters between Dagenham & Redbridge and Hartlepool United at Victoria Road. Hartley put past his own keeper in the 49th minute to give the Daggers the lead, with Arber returning the compliment for the visitors in the 95th minute. Dagenham & Redbridge 23rd, Hartlepool United 17th.
