Charlton Athletic continue to lead the way, even though they were held to a draw by Tranmere Rovers at The Valley. McGurk gave Rovers the lead in the 33rd minute, with a Jackson penalty levelling matters 10 minutes from time. Charlton Athletic 1st, Tranmere Rovers 12th.

Sheffield Wednesday maintained their 100% home record with a 3-1 win over Chesterfield at Hillsborough. Buxton (17th min) and Madine (59th min) gave the Owls a 2-goal cushion before Clarke pulled one back for the Spirites in the 79th minute. Marshall made sure of the points in the 87th minute. Sheffield Wednesday 2nd, Chesterfield 19th.

Huddersfield Town maintained their push at the top with a 2-1 win over Stevenage Borough at the Galpharm Stadium. Roberts gave the Terriers the lead in the 44th minute, with Laird levelling for the visitors in the 67th minute. The winner came from Novak in the 76th minute. Huddersfield Town 3rd, Stevenage Borough 15th.

Brentford had to come from behind to clinch a 2-2 draw against Carlisle United at Brunton Park, even though Clarkson gave the Bees the perfect start in the 9th minute. Berrett (23rd min) and an own goal through Clarkson (63rd min) put the Cumbrians in the box seat before Diagouraga levelled matters with 2 minutes to go. Carlisle United 10th, Brentford 7th.

Colchester United and Yeovil Town played out a 2-2 draw at the U's Community Stadium. Massey netted both goals for the Glovers in the 1st and 63rd minutes, with Bond (38th min) and Antonio (54th min) netting for the Essex side in between. Colchester United 11th, Yeovil Town 21st.

Bury managed to put a little bit of day light between themselves and the drop zone with a 2-0 win over Exeter City at Gigg Lane. Bishop (14th min) and an own goal from Oakley (48th min) made sure that it was a miserable day for the Devon side. Bury 14th, Exeter City 24th.

Is there hope for Leyton Orient after all? Last time out they recorded their first win of the season, this weekend their first away win of the season. Their victims this time were Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park. Barcham gave Scunny the lead in the 31st minute, with Lisbie levelling and givine the O's the lead with strikes in the 46th and 50th minutes. Cuthbert turned the screw a bit further in the 67th minute, with Barcham making it 2-3 in the 69th minute. Scunthorpe United 16th, Leyton Orient 23rd.

AFC Bournemouth and Rochdale had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Dean Court in a game of 2 penalties. Jones netted from the spot for Dale in the 30th minute, with Symes levelling from the spot in the 68th minute. AFC bournemouth 20th, Rochdale 17th.

Wycombe Wanderers will be kicking themselves for not holding on to the lead at Adams Park as Walsall walked away with a point after a 1-1 draw. Strevens gave the Chairboys the lead in the 49th minute, with Nicholls levelling things up 9 minutes from time. Wycombe Wanderers 22nd, Walsall 18th.

Notts County (9th) face Hartlepool United (8th) on Sunday, Oldham Athletic (13th) face Franchise FC (4th) on Monday, with Preston North End (5th) not playing Sheffield United (6th) due to international call-ups.
