We have new leaders at the top of League One this weekend as Swansea City claimed top spot from Brentford. Their 2-2 draw away to Hartlepool United was sifficient to rise to the pinacle, but had to come from behind to so do. Humphreys put the hosts in front on 25 minutes before Trundle got the first of his goals on 56 minutes. Swansea then took the lead with Trundle's second 5 minutes later, before Sweeney claimed an equaliser in the 76th minute to secure a share of the points. Hartlepool United 16th, Swansea City 1st.

Huddersfield Town cleared the way for Swansea to take top spot as they rocked Brentford with 2 last gasp goals in a 3-2 win at the Galpharm Stadium. Rankin got Brentford off to a good start with the opening goal in the 23rd minute with Abbott levelling 11 minutes later. Brentford restored their advantage in the 46th minute through Campbell and must have thought that the away win was in the bag! Schofield and Booth then scored injury time goals to set up an unlikely win! Huddersfield Town 2nd, Brentford 4th.

League One new boys, Southend United continued their impressive start at the higher level with a convincing 3-1 win over Tranmere Rovers at Roots Hall. Lawson in the 16th minute, and a Goater penalty in the 33rd minute gave Southend a 2-0 half time lead. Facey pulled one back for Tranmere just after the break, but Goater netted his 2nd in the 82nd minute to secure the 3 points. Southend United 3rd, Tranmere Rovers 11th.

The form book went out the window at Belle Vue as Doncaster Rovers claimed their first home win of the campaign with a 3-1 win over high flying Scunthorpe United. Fortune-West and McIndoe gave Rovers a 2-0 lead at the break with goals in the 15th and 25th minutes. Sharp pulled one back in the 51st, before Forte restored the 2-goal advantage, and 3-points, in the 60th minute. Doncaster Rovers 21st, Scunthorpe United 5th.

With this morning's bottom side winning, this dumped Franchise FC to the foot of the table as they could only manage a 0-0 against Barnsley at the National Hockey Stadium. Franchise FC 24th, Barnsley 6th.

Nottingham Forest gave themselves a confidence boost at the City Ground with a 2-0 win over Rotherham United. The goals came late on though as Lester (76th min pen), and Commons (88 minutes) left it late to secure the 3 points. Nottingham Forest 18th, Rotherham United 7th.

Port Vale slipped up at home for the first time this season as Colchester United won away for the first time. Iwelumo scored the only goal of the game in the 34th minute. Port Vale 8th, Colchester United 13th.

AFC Bournemouth scored their first goals for 3 matches with a 2-1 win over Swindon Town at Dean Court. Hayter scored from the penalty spot following the harsh dismissal of Gurney in the 24th minute. Ten-man Swindon equalised just before the break through Jenkins as the Cherries failed to deal with a long throw. The decider came in the 68th minute with an arrowed header from Hayter. This before Gowling was sent off (also harshly) and a missed Swindon penalty - they did get the ball in to the back of the net, but the chance was disallowed for an off-side! AFC Bournemouth 9th, Swindon Town 22nd.

Gillingham seem to be in free fall after a confident start to their season. This time Oldham Athletic added to their woes with a 1-0 away win at Priestfield. Killen scored the only goal of the game in the 6th minute! Gillingham 20th, Oldham Athletic 10th.

Bradford City and Yeovil Town shared the points at Valley Parade in a 1-1 draw. Skiverton open the scoring for the visitors in the 6th minute, but had to share the points after Muirhead levelled in the 64th. Bradford City 12th, Yeovil Town 19th.

After a confident start to the season Walsall have slipped in recent weeks, this time going down to a 3-2 defeat at Bescot at the hands of Chesterfield - their 3rd away win of the campaign! In the first half Walsall established a 2-0 half time lead with goals from Leitao and Wright in the 14th and 35th minutes. To their credit, Chesterfield hit back with goals from Allott (55 & 68 minutes) and Allison in the 77th to secure the victory. Walsall 15th, Chesterfield 14th.

Finally for this week, hapless Bristol City and Blackpool battled their way to a 1-1 draw at Ashton Gate. The goals came late on as Cotterill put City ahead in the 85th minute before Blinkhorn levelled in the 90th. The yellow card count would have made a better score line at 3-3!! Bristol City 23rd, Blackpool 17th.
