Charlton Athletic had to come from behind to maintain their 100% record away from home as they recorded their 4th away win at Spotland against Rochdale. Hollands and Wiggins gave the Addicks a 2-goal lead with goals in the 20th and 44th minutes respectively before Grimes and Ball got the home side back on level terms with goals in the 57th and 60th minutes. The winner came 10 minutes from time when Hollands netted the decisive goal. Rochdale 19th, Charlton Athletic 1st.

Sheffield United maintained the pressure at the top with a comfortable 3-0 win over Colchester United at Bramhall Lane. Evans (3rd min), Porter (12th min) and Quinn (72nd min) did enough to secure the win. Sheffield United 2nd, Colchester United 15th.

Preston North End managed to edge in to the play-off places following a 3-1 win over Brentford at Griffin Park. Mellor gave PNE the lead in the 10th minute, with McGinn levelling 11 minutes later. Sheffield Wednesday managed to record their first away win of the campaign at the expense of Yeovil Town at Huish Park. Despite McGoldrick putting the Owls 1-up in the 10th minute, the Glovers hit back with a brace from Agard in the 28th and 38th minutes. After the re-start, Bennett (53rd min) and Madine (72nd min) made sure that the points were heading back to Yorkshire. Yeovil Town 18th, Sheffield Wednesday 9th.

The Latics claimed the points with goals from Kuqi (49th min), Reid (65th min), and Smith (89th min) to round off a miserable week for the O's. Leyton Orient 24th, Oldham Athletic 11th.

After a dodgy start to the season, Chesterfield made it 3 wins in a week following a 4-1 win over Carlisle United at the b2Net Stadium. Goals from Clarke (3rd, 26th and 51st mins) and Westcarr (65th min) only drew a single response from Miller (20th min). Chesterfield 14th, Carlisle United 13th.
