Hull City maintained the pressure with a 2-0 away win over Bradford City in the only League One match taking place on Sunday afternoon. Tranmere Rovers did what they could on Friday night, with a 1-0 win over already relegated Stockport County. Jason McAteer sealing the win in the 66th minute. Tranmere Rovers 3rd, Stockport County 24th.
Sheffield Wednesday were held by a revitalised Oldham Athletic side. Beckett put the home side ahead in the 28th minute, before Wednesday salvaged a point in the 54th minute through Whelan. Oldham Athletic 18th, Sheffield Wednesday 4th.
Hartlepool United were also held, this time by Colchester United at Layer Road. Johnson put ColU ahead just before the break, with Sweeney equalising in the 54th minute. Colchester United 14th, Hartlepool United 5th.
Brentford kept up the pressure on the race for the play-offs, winning 1-0 over Bristol City. Sodje claimed the only goal of the game on 12 minutes to draw them level on points with AFCB, but with a vastly inferior goal difference. Brentford 7th, Bristol City 9th.
Doncaster Rovers were soundly seen off by Huddersfield Town, as they make a last bid attempt for the final play-off place. Abbott got Town under way in the 1st minute, with Fortune-West leveling on 15 minutes. Booth made sure that Town went in at the break with a single goal advantage, leaving BRandon to make the points safe in the 56th minute. Huddersfield Town 8th, Doncaster Rovers 10th.
Swindon Town unexpectedly fell flat at home against Walsall, going down 1-2, which gives Walsall a huge boost to their survival chances. Joachim put the Saddlers ahead in the 44th minute. That seemed to the winner, until Parkin converted an 84th minute penalty, but Walsall were not going home empty handed - Wright netted an injury time winner for the West Midlands side. Chesterfield were beaten by a single goal away to Port Vale. Matthews made sure that the points were staying in the Potteries with his 49th minute strike. Port Vale 17th, Chesterfield 15th.
Blackpool gifted Peterborough United a vital 1-0 away win as they gallently battle against the inveitable drop to League Two. Willock scored the only goal of the game in the 42nd minute. Blackpool 16th, Peterborough United 23rd.
Torquay United hosted Franchise FC in the big relegation 6-pointer at Plainmoor, with the Devon side coming out on top. Abbey made a name for himself as he bagged the only goal of the game to put Torquay United back within touching distance of the Franchise holders. Torquay United 21st, Franchise FC 20th.
Barnsley were without a game as they were due to be playing Wrexham, who were otherwise engaged in the LDV Vans Final. Barnsley 13th, Wrexham 22nd.

Wrexham did themselves proud as they came out on top 2-0 against League Two side Southend United. Urgate and Ferguson made sure that the Trophy goes back to North Wales for the first time. A magnificent acheievment for the cash strapped club.
