Huddersfield Town were hoping to sign Akpo Sodje after his current club, Erith & Belevdere were asking for a compensation fee from the Yorkshire Club. Terriers boss, Peter Jackson, is quoted as saying "I am willing to give him a shot with a three-month deal, but his current club are demanding a compensation fee due to his age".

Bought to help save the Club a few years back, Oldham Athletic have bought back their ground from Ooldham Council and the joint venture company Oldham Porperty Partnerships. This move enables Boundary Park to be improved and helps guarantee football and rugby union at the venue for the foreseeable future.

Peterborough United have moved to strengthen their squad ahead of their weekend clash with table toppers Colchester United at Layer Road.

Finally, Sheffield Wednesday have announced that they are placing Adam Proudlock on the transfer maket because "the club made the decision after he failed to settle in Sheffield following his move from Wolves last September".
