Swindon Town are taking a look at Spurs youngster Mark Yeates (striker) ahead of a potential loan deal. The loan deal (if it goes ahead) is part of a deal which saw Town youngster Leigh Mills (defender) move to White Hart Lane over the summer.

Blackpool have moved to strengthen their side after a disappointing start to their season, by signing Dutch-born midfielder Dean Gorre from Barnsley. This follows a successful trial for the seaside club and goes straight in to the side to face Luton Town on Saturday.

Back at Oakwell, Barnsley are said to be signing Michael Chopra from Newcastle United. The 21-year old English born striker has made a handful of appearances for the Geordie side with loans spells at Watford and Nottingham Forest in the last couple of years. The initial loan spell might develop in to a season long loan period.

Bristol City are said to be keen on signing Blackpool skipper Richie Wellens. The only protential stumbling block to any deal would be the asking price Blackpool are seeking for any transfer.

City's neighbours, Bristol Rovers, have signed Stockport County's midfielder Aaron Lescott on a 6-month contract following a successful loan spell.
