Further fall out after the Hull City/AFC Bournemouth match has seen Tigers defender Marc Joseph sidelined for up to 6 weeks with a perforated ear drum. it is understood that the injury was picked up after a clash with Steve Fletcher.

Over at Boundary Park, Oldham Athletic are giving a trial to one of their ex players - Clyde Wijnhard, who has returned to England after a period in Portugal.

Barry Fry has signed Ahmed Deen following a successful trial period at London Road.

Feelings were running high at Wrexham during the opening day clash with Swindon Town. Not because of the match on the pitch, instead the antics of the unpopular Wrexham Chairman (Alex Hamilton). A statement issues by the Wrexham Supporters Trust condemned the provactive show of power and disrespect to the locals. Mr Hamilton has already disclosed that he has no other interest in Wrexham Football Club other than to redevelop the ground.

Hartlepool United have got a struggle on their hands if they are to keep hold of their striker Adam Boyd. It is understood that he is being watched by Liverpool, Newcastle United and Sunderland.
