League Two Reivew - Nov 14th

By Bournemouth Co-Ordinator
Saturday, 14th November 2009
Here's the weekly round up of League Two action.

Dagenham & Redbridge hit pole position following a 1-0 away win at Accrington Stanley at Livingstone Road. Arber netted the only goal of the game in the 39th minute. Accrington Stanley 14th, Dagenham & Redbridge 1st.

AFC Bournemouth had to make do with a point against Bradford City at Valley Parade. Pitman gave the Cherries in the 33rd minute, only to see Evans level just before half time. Bradford City 12th, AFC Bournemouth 2nd.

Having been knocked out of the FA Cup by Conference side Luton Town, it didn't get much better for Rochdale at Spotland against Chesterfield. A quick fire brace for Lester in the 25th and 28th minutes set the Spirites up nicely. O'Grady (49th min) and Dawson (52nd min) got Dale back in the match before Perkins scored the winner in the 63rd minute. Rochdale 3rd, Chesterfield 5th.

Rotherham United are tucked in just behind the automatic promotion places as they left it late against Port Vale to claim 3-points at Vale Park. Brogan gave the Millers a 31st minute lead, with Prosser levelling in the 36th minute. Law settled the game in favour of the visitors in the 92nd minute. Port Vale 13th, Rotherham United 4th.

Having had a poor start to the season, especially at home, Bury could, and probably snatched a win against Notts County at Gigg Lane. Nardiello gave Bury a 9th minute lead, with Morrell doubling the advantage in the 19th minute. County drew level with a brace from Hughes in the 26th and 38th minutes. Dawson restored the home sides advantage in the 50th minute only to see Ritchie level in the 77th minute. Bury 9th, Notts County 6th.

Shrewsbury Town had to come from behind to claim a point against Torquay United at the New Meadow. Hargreaves have the Devon side a 76th minute lead, only to see Hibbert level in the 81st minute to ensure a share of the spoils. Shrewsbury Town 7th, Torquay United 22nd.

Darlington claimed just their 2nd victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Burton Albion at The Arena. Main scored the only goal of the game in the 7th minute. Darlington 24th, Burton Albion 11th.

Morecambe managed to record their first away win of the season against Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road. Bentley gave the Cumbrians a 7th minute lead, with Jevons extending that lead in the 37th minute. Schumacher pulled one back for the Alex in the 77th minute, but it wasn't enough to salvage a point. Crewe Alexandra 18th, Morecambe 19th.

Lincoln City and Cheltenham Town had to settle for a share of the spoils at Sincil Bank. Richards have Town a 12th minute lead with Clarke levelling for City 3 minutes after the re-start. Lincoln City 20th, Cheltenham Town 21st.

The games involving Barnet (8th) and Hereford United (16th); Aldershot Town (10th) and Macclesfield (17th); Northampton Town (15th) and Grimsby Town (23rd) all finished 0-0.
