Leeds United Reaction - Cherries II

With Lewis Grabban bagging a brace, the Cherries leading goal scorer was quick to praise the contribution of Simon Francis with the assists which allowed Grabban to inflict more pain on Leeds.

Speaking after the match, Grabban was quoted as saying on Francis: "I thought he was superb. He got forward well, caused them all sorts of problems and he got his assists. We have been together at the club for two years now and, like most of the lads here, we have a good bond and understanding, which is showing now".

And on the growing partnership with Yann Kermorgant: "I think it is coming on well. Yann brings his strengths to the team, I bring mine and we are gelling together well. We were both on the scoresheet and that is a positive for us. I wouldn’t say it takes pressure off me because I put pressure on myself to score goals, but perhaps it does take the pressure off the team because there are two goal scorers. I don’t want to say what my target for the season is, but it would be nice to hit 20. As a striker, I think that goes down as a successful season but we will see where it goes".
