Left Side Partnership To Be Developed?

With new signing, Charlie Daniels making a good impression on his Cherries debut on Saturday, he's hoping that the left-sided partnership will develop in to a good understanding.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Daniels was quoted as saying: "I worked well with Scottie. There is more to come from me and I can knuckle down in training and get to know the lads over the next fortnight. The good thing about Scottie and myself is that we are both left footed and can both play both positions so, if one goes forward, the other can cover and vice-versa. I like the way Scottie plays. He is good in the air and is a big, strong lad who likes to run at defenders and take people inside. I feel we can have a good partnership. When you come to a new club, you need to get to know the players. I know they like to play football and know we can play better. The main thing was not losing or conceding a goal".

On his move to the South Coast, Daniels goes on to say that: "I know there were Championship clubs looking, but Bournemouth made an offer and sold it to me. Russell Slade and vice-chairman Matt Porter said it was too good an offer to turn down. I know the manager very well and trust him. If it was too good to turn down then I believe him. I know this club is going places and want to be a part of it".
