Following defeat at Dean Court, manager Eddie Howe was quoted on BBC Radio Solent as saying: "It’s tough to take because I thought we had weathered the storm. In the first half I thought they showed why the table says they are the best team in the league, but the second half was a lot more even. If we had taken one of our chances before they scored, then it might have been a different game.It was difficult to play our normal game in the conditions, so we brought Yann (Kermorgant) on and got two strikers on the pitch".

On the performance of Lee Camp: "Campy kept us in it in the first half with some really good saves. We knew Jamie Vardy would be a threat with his pace and he got in behind a couple of times, but that’s when you need your goalkeeper. He made some big saves and we are just disappointed we haven’t rewarded his performance with something from the game. It was useful for Yann to play 45 minutes. I think once he gets to know us better and we get to know him better, he will be a really positive signing for us".
