Licence To Shoot

Manager Eddie Howe has given Anton Robinson the freedom to shoot on sight of goal during the coming season as the Cherries look to bolster the goals-for column as they take their place in League One.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Robinson is quoted as saying: "We are using a new ball this season and it swerves all over the place. It’s going to be a nightmare for goalkeepers and there could be a few long-range strikes and rebounds to be had. We have been striking the balls in training and they have been going all over the place! Hopefully, I can pop up with more goals from outside of the box this season. As a midfielder who tries to get forward, I would like to get into double figures. Scoring 10 goals has got to be my target and that would be a good return in League One".
