Lincoln City manager, Chris Sutton, was naturally pleased with the win, being quoted after the match as saying: "At half-time I said to the players that we couldn't rest on our laurels because they were a threat, and we defended resolutely. I thought it was a harsh free-kick given for the goal and at 1-1 I just wanted us to stay in the game, but David produced a fantastic finish and we saw the game out. We can still improve in a lot of areas but in the end it's about the result, I'm pleased for the players and seeing how other games have gone, it's a big result for us".
