Loan Deal For Southampton Youngster

With only 4 fit defenders at Dean Court, AFC Bournemouth have moved to sign 18 year old Martin Cranie from Southampton, and have done so in time for him to be eligible to play against Barnsley on Saturday.

Speaking on the afcb.co.uk, Sean O'Driscoll is quoted as saying that: "We are extremely grateful to Southampton and Steve Wigley for allowing Martin to join us on a month's loan. With only four fit defenders currently on our books, it was prudent that we moved to strengthen the squad in that department at least for the duration of Warren Cummings' rehabilitation".
