Manager Eddie Howe was quoted on BBC Radio Solent after the match as saying: "I don't think we were quite at our best today. It was a difficult game. The pace was very frenetic and it was played at a hundred miles an hour. We got caught up in the atmosphere a little bit and didn't show our usual composure on the ball. That was reflected in the goal we conceded, but we did have some good chances ourselves in both halves. We are disappointed because we didn't want to end the season this way, but we have to reflect on a very good campaign overall".
