Millwall Reaction - Cherries I

Harry Arter was quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo after the match as saying on the 2-0 victory in SE London as saying: "It’s demanding playing two games in three days but I felt the lads coped well with it. It wasn’t one of the prettiest displays we’ve had this year but we got the three points. I felt their players tried to make it a bitty sort of game. That was the sort of game they wanted and it seemed like what their fans wanted. Sometimes that is hard to overcome but I felt we did that. In the past we may have crumbled a bit and not showed the power to hold out and stick to our principles but we did today. I don’t want to be too disrespectful but they probably realised we were a better footballing team and they tried to disrupt that. You can’t come here and expect an easy game and we were prepared for what they gave us".
