It has been announced that the Football Association have brought charges of misconduct following the foul mouthed rant on BBC Radio 5 Live's 606 programme.

Mitchell has accepted the charges, with a private hearing to be heard on, or before, March 13th.

Post 5 Live rant, Mitchell did issue an apology: "I apologise for my language on BBC Radio 5 Live. I am a passionate man and unfortunately that manifested itself in the language I used during the interview. I deeply regret any offence caused to younger listeners".
