After a public relations disaster on Thursday evening when Mitchell told fans to go support Southampton if they didn't like the way he was running the club, has come out defending his position and his running of the Club.
Mitchell was quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "My ambition is that I am a winner. If I get the support from the club then the club will go further than it has ever been. The club is in a better position than it has ever been. If people want bad news and want to verbally attack me then that is great. I can’t do anything about it. But when they want to verbally abuse my family then it isn’t for me".
