Molesley On His Return

After such a lengthy absence because of injury, Mark Molesley was grateful for the warm reception he received when coming on as a late substitute against Oldham Athletic at the weekend.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Molesley is quoted as saying about his return to first team action: "I had a bit of a down time in the game for a while and to come back to that ovation was very special. There have been a lot of twists and turns in my comeback and, at some stages, it looked like I might never get that chance to come back on the pitch. Various surgeons said if things didn’t work out, then that would be it. A couple of times it didn’t work out and it was literally last-chance saloon. There were a few hairy moments. I thought I had quite a good start last season. I played 10 league games and we won nine of them. I thought football was finally starting to come good for me and then the rug got pulled from under my feet. I’m hoping I can recreate that but at the end of the season and try to get involved in some of the glory. I’ve got confidence in myself and I definitely feel I can bring something to the team".
