Molesley Season In The Balance

An MRI scan revealed that Mark Molesley's foot injury has not improved since an air cast boot was fitted. The popular midfielder is now facing an operation to repair the damamge to his foot.

Molesley is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "Unfortunately there hasn’t really been much improvement on the scan, which is bad news. I could have an operation tonight, but I’m going to leave it a few weeks, try and do some swimming and a few other things on it and see how it goes. I’ve got nothing to lose, because I’d rather try to come back and see if this rest period has helped than have the op now and be out for the season. I’m not in any pain, but it won’t be until I put my weight on it that I’ll really know for sure that it hasn’t healed. The scan didn’t look too great, but you never know. I might be able to get away with it. It’s dangled a carrot in front of me and I’m keen to try anything and everything. I’ve got to give it a go. I should really be having the op tonight, but I just want to try it. The specialist said he could understand me wanting to give it another go and I said I’d give it a go for two or three weeks. If I feel it, I’ll have the operation".
