Mostyn is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "It's a tremendous coup for the football club and we have fought off a lot of interest from a lot of clubs, including Championship clubs, to get him to sign. It hasn't been easy and both myself and Kevin have made dozens of phone calls to reassure Jo that we are as ambitious as he is. He has told us about his ambition and what he wants to achieve with the football club and we've told him about ours. And, in a perfect world, they match because we're both very ambitious and we want to go places. I think the very fact that he's decided to sign for us, in the face of stiff opposition, shows a tremendous amount of respect on both sides. Hopefully both parties will be extremely pleased with the outcome".
