Chairman, Eddie Mitchell is quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying: "We have given Eddie Howe a three year contract and for Jason, we have cancelled his previous contract and given him a three year one also. I'm very pleased that this has all been agreed. Myself, Eddie and Jason have had five meetings now and like me they have always looked at the long term future of the club. They have agreed to a realistic wage, which is probably less than they could earn somewhere else, but they are showing their dedication to the club. I particularly wanted to give them a three year contract, because that gives them time to build their team and I believe it is a very worthwhile contract and I'm very pleased".
