New Era - New Investment

Following the Mostyn/Sly takeover of the Club, they have persuaded long term supporter, John Piper, to join them in investing in the Club. Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Mostyn is quoted as saying: "He has always had the best interests of AFC Bournemouth at heart, although I do not believe he has always been treated with the respect that his efforts have deserved. While discussions have been ongoing for some time, John, understandably, wanted to be assured that we had the ability to change the fortunes of the club before committing himself. Having seen the changes implemented around the club, he has now fully committed to helping the club financially".

On his investment, Piper is quoted as saying: "Jeff Mostyn and Steve Sly saved the football club from certain disaster, nobody can ignore that. And I'm really keen to help. I'm really pleased that I've seen these two guys coming in and putting their money up without any strings attached and they are very serious about turning the club into something that will cover its own costs. That's absolutely essential in my view and these guys will do that - they will run it properly as a company to stand on its own two feet".
