New League Cup

Following the withdrawal of the brewers, Coors, who have sponsored the League Cup for the past 5 seasons as the Worthington League Cup, the League have announced that Coors are to sponsor the Cup for the next 3 seasons.

This time the League Cup will be known as the Carling Cup.

The draw for the first round is to be made this Wednesday at 10am. It is not known (at the time of writing) whether the draw is to be made live on Sky Sports of not.

The financial package has not been made public.
