The Clubs Official Web Site has announced that BBC Radio Solent and the Club have signed a deal where by live match commentary will be kept on local air waves for the next three season after the current deal has expired.

This means that we will be able to hear Solent commentary until 2008.

Peter Phillips is quoted as saying that "the club is thrilled to have renewed this deal with BBC Radio Solent and we would like to thank them in particular for bringing forward the new contract at this very difficult financial time".

For the BBC, Adam Blackmore (Solent Sports Editor) is quoted as saying "The relationship between the club and the station has always been a warm one. We are delighted that we have been able to do seal this new commentary deal with Peter Phillips .... although the emphasis seems to be on what we have done to help the club, I would like to add that it is a thrill for us to know that the we will be able to continue our coverage on the Cherries until at least 2008".
