Manager Eddie Howe was quoted on BBC Radio Solent after the match as saying: "I was under no illusions about how difficult this game was going to be. Derby and Norwich are the bookmakers’ favourites for promotion and rightly so. We came here and really gave a good account of ourselves and we can play better. I think all things considered, it’s a good sign for us".
