Notts County Reaction - Cherries I

Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, manager Eddie Howe was quoted after the match as saying: "I was disappointed as I didn't feel at any stage that we really got going. We had a couple of chances early on and if we had taken them it might have been different. We didn't though and full credit to Notts County because I thought they played well, they were the better side in the first half and I have no complaints. We changed things round at half time to try and get going, but we looked a bit flat. The defence had been exceptional in recent weeks and we have only conceded one today, it was more at the other end where we never really got going and from midfield, we never really created many clear cut chances. We couldn't break them down and get in behind them. They boys are tired with the amount of games they have had recently, but I can't use that as an excuse. That would be the easy way out to say that, but it's the same for most sides and we simply need to do better. As I have said before, it is important to handle the highs and lows and not to get too high when we win, and not to get too low when we lose. We will go and work hard during the week and plan for Bury. In some way we need to use this as another turning point. OK, we've been beaten at home and disappointingly so, but we have to bounce back and out reaction to defeats previously have always been very good and that's what we need to do again".
