Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, man of the match, Mark Molesley is quoted as saying: "We created some good chances to start off with, but maybe we thought we would just go on from that and steamroller them. There's no easy games in this league and full credit to them because they made us work hard. People have got high expectations now and we didn't live up to that. We spoke about it at length after the game and we feel like we have let the fans and ourselves down. We're gutted because we set ourselves high standards and we haven't delivered. We've had a long slog and there were a few tired bodies, but that's no excuse - we should have done better".

As for the penalty decision, that was eventually saved Jalal is quoted as saying: "For the penalty, I think the striker was looking for it. It's one of those things but I think I probably did clip him. I spoke to him afterwards and he said he thought I had gone one way, but I managed to stick a leg out. Luckily enough it took a bounce and I managed to get back on my feet because it could have gone straight back to him. I don't think he caught it right, but he scored a clinical goal against us at their place and he is a quality player. It's nice to save the penalty, but it's just a shame we couldn't go on and get three points".
