Notts County Reaction - Cherries II

Manager Eddie Howe was disappointed with the 3-3, being quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "We were bitterly disappointed not to have seen out the game. I thought we had done enough. At 3-0, you expect to win any game, as you do if you score three goals. Unfortunately, we were a little naïve and a little inexperienced and made some poor decisions and they cost us. I didn’t think we played well, even in the first half. We scored three goals but I didn’t think we had played fantastically. But when you are 3-0 up, you take it. They got a goal back straight away to make it 3-1 and I think that put a little bit of doubt in our minds. But we were comfortable in the second half and there didn’t seem to be any alarm bells. We were a bit ragged in the last 10 minutes though. We should have seen it out. We had good chances to make it four and, if we had taken one of those, it would have been all over.  When you are that close to winning, it feels like a defeat. The players care deeply and are disappointed, as you would expect. But there were a lot of positives to take so it’s not all doom and gloom. But, sometimes, you’ve got to be honest and tell it how it is and we’ve done that. But we will bounce back".
