Notts County manager, Hans Backe, was quoted after the match as saying: "It feels excellent. It was a high priority to do as well as possible in the FA Cup. Playing away against the leaders of League Two and winning and getting to the third round can't be better. I think we struggled with the conditions in the first half, with our way of playing football, and we had to change at half time. We went to 4-4-2 in the second half because of the conditions and it paid off. The last 10-15 minutes that this could have been called off as it was nearly impossible to play".
