Notts Reaction - Cherries

Speaking the Bournemouth Evening Echo, goal keeping hero Shwan Jalal is quoted as saying: "I work hard in training to make saves like that but the rest of the team were fantastic in digging in when we were under the cosh and I thought we were solid. We reacted well when their goal went in and, although they had the better of the second half, we held out and that's what it's going to take this season. For the first save, I just stood up for as long as I could and, luckily, he hit it at a good height into the top corner. I just managed to get a good hand to it and tip it over. The second one fell to him at the far post and he had to take a touch so I was able to get myself set. I just tried to stay big and it came off my hand and I managed to push it around the post".

Here is what new manager Jimmy Quinn had to say: "It wasn't pretty at times. But sometimes you get games away from home when you have to grind out a result, which we did. They put us under a lot of pressure but we stood firm and defended well. When you look at everything that's happened this week, it's a lot for the players to deal with. They are still getting used to me and although there is a bit of apprehension there, they are settling down. I'm pretty consistent with what I do so hopefully they will quickly gain a bit of confidence in me. I'm here to help them but the onus is on hard work and winning and the bottom line is that we've got to win games".
