Just when it couldn't get worse, news that James O'Connor had an accident at home which saw him hitting his right hand on some glass. Manager Sean O'Driscoll has been quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "He has been pretty unlucky really. He slipped at home and he's cut his hand pretty badly. As a result, he suffered a deep cut and has severed two flexor tendons in his right hand. It is a freak accident and you have no control over these things. It is a blow to lose him because he has been playing really well, but it is one of the few areas where we actually have a bit of cover".
