O'Kane Happy To Prove Versatility

With the new season nearly upon us, Eunan O'Kane as spoken about the midfield role(s) he is likely to be challenged with as the campaign progresses as Eddie Howe contemplates either a central role, or a more advanced position.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, O'Kane is quoted as saying: "I feel comfortable in either position but it is just about being ready to be played and used wherever the manager needs me and sees fit to play me. The more strings you have to your bow, the more chance you have of being on the pitch. I will play in goal if it means being in the starting XI – I am just happy to be on the pitch. When you start to think how close the season is, it is a little bit worrying when you have only played 45 minutes and the season is only two weeks away. But the manager saw that I needed minutes and, thankfully, he gave them to me. Hopefully, I will be able to be in his mind to at least have a chance on Saturday. I am as ready as I can be after being out injured. I don’t think I could have coped with any more minutes and we would have run the risk of me, maybe, re-injuring myself".
