Oldham Athletic Reaction

On the unlikely win, manager Sean O'Driscoll was quoted after the match as saying: "I was ready to kill somebody 10 minutes into the second half. We were a team full of confidence in the first half, then we panicked after the penalty and we were a team lacking confidence in the second half. So we're pleased with the three points, but disappointed that we're still a bit fragile."

On the substitution of Leon Best, it was revealed that he was suffering with a migrane: "Steve Fletcher came over and said that Leon was really struggling and that his eyesight had gone, so we took him off. He's been sick as well and he's seen the doctor, but his sister's here so he'll get driven home."

For Oldham, their manager, John Sheridan was quoted afterwards as saying: "We only played 45 minutes and you don't win many games when you do that. We were very poor in the first half and you simply can't afford to give sides a two-goal lead. The second half proves they can do it and we did well to get back into it. We should have gone on and won, although I'd have been happy with a point".
Relief at win!
